I remember I drew on a cuboard when I was very young, it was a big potatoe face guy that was smiling, and also drew on my birth certificate.
I would try mimicking certain animes I thought were cool and my idea of the anime art style, and my art suddenly shifted to mimicking a specific animation youtuber for a while.
I would mimick a lot of other people on the internet in terms of art styles, I don't try mimicking people anymore, althought maybe it can be compared to some other artist.
It's more specific elements rather than trying to replicate.
I remember this very vivid dream and it changed how I make art, before that I was looking at this painting by Roger Dean, which heavily influenced the dream I had.
I used to play RPG Maker games a lot, they are a foundation for a lot of my tastes and sensibilities as an artist n' shit. I used to like creepypasta's and thought Jeff The Killer was awesome.
I remember my cousin was watching Akira at night and I was on the floor in a sleeping bag, I peeked at the TV and saw the part where Tetsuo turns into that thing and crushed Kaori into a pile of
blood inside his flesh and was completely horrified, I thought it was so cruel and evil.
